Raise a glass—and funds—at Pour it Forward

Go to the head of the glass with a beer-drinking event that raises money for Evanston’s School for Little Children at The Cellar this Thursday, January 16, 2014.

“School for Little Children is one of the oldest non-for profit preschools in Evanston,” states General Manager Lizz Blackwell of The Cellar. “It holds a special place in my heart because not only does my son attend there but my brother also did 30 years ago. Attending the Pour it Forward event gives people a chance to taste some amazing beer for an awesome cause and perhaps walk away with some really cool raffle prizes including an extremely rare oak aged quadruple from La Trappe.”

Presented in conjunction with the La Trappe, The Cellar is hosting Pour It Forward from 6 to 9 pm at its space on 820 Clark Street in Evanston.

La Trappe Jubelaris Tappist beer will be available for $9. Plus, the first 40 beers will be free of charge! Those beers, as well as all beers purchased, will receive a drawing ticket. Additional tickets can be purchased for $1. Drawings are held every hour for La Trappe products including one bottle of Oak-Aged La Trappe Quadruple at every raffle.

Guests are also given the option of buying the La Trappe goblets for $5. All sales of drawing tickets and glass purchases go directly to the School for Little Children.
