ABOUT CHICAGO CANINE RESCUE

Chicago
Canine Rescue (CCR) was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes
for homeless dogs in Chicago. In just over 11 years, our dedicated organization
has saved the lives of over 4,300 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies. CCR helps
some of the Midwest’s most vulnerable animals – dogs with broken bones, older
dogs that require dentals, moms with nursing pups, blind and deaf dogs, dogs
with heartworm disease, skin problems and infections, our list goes on and on. Our
new, larger shelter location at 5272 N. Elston Ave in Chicago provides these vulnerable
animals with a safe haven and gives potential adopters a place to come and meet
our dogs available for adoption. This year, over 700 animals that were facing
euthanasia in other area shelters will instead come through CCR’s doors and
receive much needed medical services and find loving families!
