(Evanston, Il--Sept. 24, 2013--) 27 Live, located at 1012-1014 Church St. in Evanston announces a live concert,Bernie Worrell Orchestra with opening act DJ John Ciba  Sat. Oct. 5th 8pm. 
The Bernie Worrell Orchestra performs with an 8 piece band consisting of two guitarists, one drummer, bass, percussion, and a three piece horn section.
Bernie Worrell is synonymous with the legacy of Parliament-Funkadelic; in fact, he’s one of the originators of the psychedelic funk sound, having written and co-produced the lion’s share of the music going back to Funkadelic’s formative years, with an eclectic ear for everything from Chopin to the Chi-Lites.  He has also worked with the world renowed band Talking Heads.

DJ John Ciba will open for Bernie Worrell Orchestra and is known for his soul jams.He has performed at many Chicago venues and is part of the soul spinning DJ duo East of Edens Soul Express.

New to downtown Evanston's scene, 27 Live is the city's newest hot spot, featuring a live events venue, bar, whiskey lounge, and restaurant fused together to create a 14,000 square foot all inclusive restaurant and nightlife location. 27 Live is located at 1012 Church Street in Evanston, just steps away from both the CTA Purple line and Metra Davis stops.
