Have you always wanted to try canning but thought it sounded hard? Are you daunted by needing dozens of jars and huge pots? Or, you love canning but wondered how to do it in smaller batches? Time to get undaunted!

You're invited to an evening of fun and canning with cookbook author and canning teacher Marisa McClellan of the wildly popular FoodInJars.com. She'll demo the honey sweetened strawberry jam recipe from her brand new, already-charting book, Preserving by the Pint: Quick Seasonal Canning for Small Spaces, and show you how to put up farmers market finds and the contents of your weekly CSA share.

"Mighty Pass" admission includes a signed copy of Preserving by the Pint and 3 mini tulip canning jars (+ lids, clips, seals) from Weck (+$40 value). A limited number of signed cookbooks will be available at the event for purchase by General Admission ticket holders.
