Services Celebrates 35 Years of Sending Children With Cancer to Camp

35th Anniversary Gala to Support One Step Programs

For 35
years, Children’s Oncology Services has been working to provide camp experiences and other programs for kids with cancer to just be kids. On November 7th from 6:00- 11:00
p.m. more than 300 guests will gather for a cocktail reception, dinner, live
entertainment and to celebrate this incredible
accomplishment at a very special 35th Anniversary Gala

The event will take place at the Chicago
Cultural Center
to toast all of the hard work over the years and most
importantly, the eleven thousand lives that the nonprofit have been able to
help and support during its existance.

The evening
will also include live music from Michael
Lerich & Orchestra
as well as unique silent auction items to support the
future of Children’s Oncology Services, Inc. and One Step Programs. One Step
Programs now operates eleven (11) programs held throughout the year, serving
more than 550 individuals annually with almost half of the children living
and/or having been treated in the greater Chicagoland area. Many campers attend

“The
Children’s Oncology Staff and I thrilled to be celebrating 35 years of hard

work! It is truly amazing to have such a wonderful family of people volunteering

over the years that are willing to give deserving children the chance to feel

like a kid again,” said Jeff Infusino, President of Children’s Oncology

Services, Inc. “There is nothing that compares to seeing the smiles on the

faces of all the kids we have sent to camp over the years and we can’t wait to

see many, many more!”
