gridlocked? Political Scientist Julie Strauss will explore the myriad forces
that contribute to Congressional inaction. These forces range from
gerrymandered (and thus 'safe') districts to changing Senate and House norms to
decreasing comity across party lines. Finally, we will discuss possible
remedies for an intransigent Congress.
