EPL Arts on Sunday: Painting on Water, The Art of Suminagashi

Sunday, July 20, 1:30 pm, 1st Floor Community Meeting Room, Main Library

Amy Lee Segami demonstrates the ancient Japanese art form called suminagashi ("flowing ink"), also known as painting on water. Weaving her backgrounds in art and science with perspectives from both East and West, Ms. Segami draws on her physics knowledge and Asian heritage to create her own style of suminagashi. Her presentation will feature many of her paintings as she shares her creative process. Program co-sponsored by North Shore Village.
