The unfunded obligations to public pension funds have been caused by very generous local governments and state legislators. This staggering debt for the nation is 1.3 trillion dollars! The public unions insist on their pension rights; yet, most states and local governments are
broke. The stark alternative is bankruptcy, with pension funds slashed to zero. We'll explore creative ways that could help us out of this dilemma.
