Water Pressures: Education and Advocacy for our Water Futures

The award-winning documentary, "Water Pressures: Education and Advocacy for our Water Futures" will be shown Sunday, Jan. 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Beth Emet Synagogue, 1224 Dempster St. in Evanston.

The film, produced by Beth Emet member Ann Feldman, helped create a partnership between desert villagers in the water-stricken Thar Desert of India and students and faculty at Northwestern University.

Entourage and The Devil Wears Prada star Adrian Grenier is the host for the documentary, which will be syndicated on public television in the U.S. this month and in India.

After the screening, Feldman will facilitate a discussion about how people here can get involved in the international campaign for safe water. She'll invite film-viewers to create short videos and blogs about local water issues and post them on her website, waterpressures.org.

This program is free and open to all.
