World Dance Workshop: Salsa

Salsa dancing is a passionate, lively and sensual dance that can be very fun to do and give your whole body a great workout! It originated in Latin America and it is very popular throughout the world It is largely a pair dance, but with many “shines” that can be done individually.  We will be learning some of those shines along with working with lots of hip and torso motions.  By the end of the session whether you are a beginner or a seasoned dancer you will be able to feel the rhythm in a way that allows you to follow it and express yourself.

Elise Foss was born in Brazil and raised in Venezuela, in addition to experiencing spicy Latin American dance, Elise studied jazz, ballet, modern dance and belly dance. She has been teaching dance/exercise for 27 years and has two Latin Rhythm exercise videos that have been sold nationally and internationally.
