Celebrated
Chicago concert pianists to commemorate Franz Liszt's 202nd birthday with a
monumental evening of Liszt's music on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 7:30 pm,
Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Ave., Evanston, IL. The event is sponsored by the American Liszt
Society Chicago/Midwest Chapter. Composer
Franz Liszt (1811-1886) is known for his virtuosic pianism and his
forward-looking piano compositions. Many
of Liszt’s compositions and transcriptions are among the most challenging
pieces in the piano repertoire.
Performers
include: Claire Aebersold and Ralph Neiweem, Svetlana Belsky, Alexander
Djordjevic, Andrew Guo, Matthew Hagle, Brenda Huang, Sung Hoon Mo, George
Radosavljevic and Paul Sanchez.
