Glam-Her-Up Sales Event benefitting the YWCA Evanston/ Northshore

Glam-Her-Up sales event is supporting the YWCA Evanston/North Shore’s domestic violence services for women and their children by donating 100 percent of its profits that evening. The event will be hosted in the storefront from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 9.  Additionally, the store will also accept jewelry donations from customers to give to the women served by the YWCA’s economic empowerment program, which women can wear during job interviews. Those making a purchase and/or jewelry donation during the event will receive a coupon for 40% off of a future purchase at Ayla’s Originals.

Crêparie St. Germain, a true gem of Downtown Evanston, will be providing divine, sweet, taste-size portions of their crêpes. WineStyles will present a special wine tasting from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The YWCA Evanston/North Shore is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity. As the largest provider of domestic violence services on the North Shore, the YWCA offers comprehensive services to women fleeing abuse. From emergency shelter to counseling, money management, and court advocacy, they help women get safe, stay safe and heal.  They also encourage women’s self-sufficiency through their financial literacy program, which educates low- to moderate-income women about basic money management.
