Have Dreams Recognizes International Autism Expert at 6th Annual Gala

On Friday, May 2 community leaders from Chicago and New York City will gather at the Four Seasons Hotel to honor one of autism’s most prominent researchers, Catherine Lord, Ph.D.   As a founder of Chicago area nonprofit Have Dreams, Dr. Lord has led the development of the diagnostics used in early identification of children with autism.  She is the author of more than 160 peer-reviewed papers and nine books on the subject.

NBC political reporter Mary Ann Ahern will emcee the 2014 Night of Dreams gala. The funds raised will support Have Dreams’ mission of serving children, teens and young adults with autism through individualized after-school classes, vocational, life skills and transition to employment programs, along with diagnostic and family support services.

The evening will feature cocktails and dinner followed by a spectacular live auction and dancing.
