Medical Marijuana Institute Free Patient and Caregiver Seminar

In January 2014, medical marijuana will become legal for Illinois residents to use for specific medical conditions.

Silvia Orizaba-Knilans, founder of the Medical Marijuana Institute (MMI), is a longtime supporter of legalizing the medicine for use in Illinois and the local wife, mom and health enthusiast is just as passionate about making patients and caregivers have the best information to safely obtain and use the medicine. The free seminar on Oct. 26 in Riverwoods is the first of many for the northern suburbs and surrounding area. Patients will learn:

  • The 40 specific conditions that qualify for medical marijuana treatment;
  • How to apply for a Medical Marijuana Card and how to obtain a grant if you cannot afford the medicine;
  • Rules and regulations and how to become a caregiver;
  • Much more.
Experts will be available to answer questions.
