Oncology Massage Information Session

This free community information session will answer your question about oncology massage and give you some simple touch tools to comfort your loved ones as they go through cancer treatment.

Massage therapy, as provided by trained practitioners of oncology massage, supports the body, mind and spirit through cancer treatment.  Learn about the recognized, research-supported benefits of oncology massage for individuals at every stage in their cancer journey. In addition, participants will learn simple, safe, calming touch techniques loved ones can use at any time to soothe those undergoing treatment.

Rebecca Sturgeon, LMT, CMLDT
Rebecca is a massage therapist and certified manual lymphatic drainage therapist, specializing in oncology massage.  She practices at the Heartwood Center and is a practitioner for Heartwood's Women and Cancer Program.  Rebecca is also a preferred provider for the Society for Oncology Massage.

Margaret Olson, LMT, CMLDT

Margaret Olson has been a licensed massage therapist since 2007. She discovered her passion for oncology massage in 2011, and has been spreading the word about its benefits ever since.
