Super powers drive "The Sparrow" at ETHS

ETHS will present the thought-provoking drama “The Sparrow”
at 7:30pm on December 12, 13, and 14 in the school’s Upstairs Theatre.

“The Sparrow” is a fantastical tale of Emily Book, an
orphaned teenager, whose telekinetic powers are a blessing—and yet a curse—to
her and her small town. First produced at the House Theatre of Chicago and
later at Steppenwolf’s Garage Theatre, the play uses music, dance, comedy, and
imagination to convey Emily’s mysterious talents and their effects on others. The
show is directed by Aaron Carney and stars Talia Weiss, ETHS senior, as Emily.

Tickets at $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens,
can be reserved through the ETHS Fine Arts Hotline, 847-424-7848. The Upstairs
Theatre is handicapped accessible by elevator. Parking is best in the ETHS back
lot, entered off of Church or Lake Streets.
