The GOP After the 2012 Presidential Elections

At NSSC, Nielsen Campus:

Julie Strauss, Ph.D., Political Scientist

The Republican Party was seemingly surprised by its defeat in November 2012. Its policy positions on several issues and its lack of outreach to certain groups, particularly Hispanics, hurt it at the polls. This class will discuss what steps the GOP is taking to address these issues. We will also explore the relative influence of the different factions within the party, including the tea partiers, religious conservatives, and establishment Republicans. Join Dr. Strauss in what is certain to be a spirited discussion.
