The Kinsey Sicks in "America's Next Top Bachelor Housewife Celebrity Hoarder Makeover Star Gone Wild!"

THE KINSEY SICKS, America’s Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, are celebrating their 20th anniversary year with “America’s Next Top Bachelor Housewife Celebrity Hoarder Makeover Star Gone Wild.” In this brilliant reality TV send-up, we find Rachel, Winnie, Trixie and Trampolina in the jungle, trying their best to score at challenges that involve singing, dancing, dating, dieting and, of course, large insects.

THE KINSEY SICKS formed by freak accident in December of 1993 in San Francisco. Since then, they have written and performed scores of musicals, starred in their own Off-Broadway show at New York’s legendary Studio 54, toured internationally, recorded eight albums and been the subject of two feature films. Their extensive and remarkably diverse fan base includes people of all ages, genders and religions (and several political positions). The New York Times praises their “voices sweet as birdsong” and Variety calls them “one act that should not be missed.” The San Francisco Chronicle says, “Their mangling of hit songs hits genius level.” (Read, see and hear more about them atwww.kinseysicks.com.)

THE KINSEY SICKS were, in fact, contestants in Season 3 of “America’s Got Talent.” Their first performances brought standing ovations from the audience and gushing praise from the judges. One performance was featured as the theme footage for the pre-season trailer. However, once show producers caught wind of the Kinseys’ brand of politics, flavor of humor, and Rachel’s personal hygiene, they were cheerfully shown the door, and the footage of the performance footage was left on the cutting room floor.

“AMERICA’S NEXT TOP BACHELOR HOUSEWIFE CELEBRITY HOARDER MAKEOVER STAR GONE WILD” brings the group’s firsthand knowledge of the reality show experience to bear, poking fun at the onstage unreality and backstage surreality of the genre. And, of course, all in glorious 4-part harmony! The musical boasts some of THE KINSEY SICKS’ best music of these last two decades – wicked parodies and objectionable originals – plus some brilliant new songs about stardom, contentment and the hunger for fame. And, of course, what would any reality show be without a production number in Yiddish? Will they win? Will they stay together? Will they withstand the pressure? Will they sing on key for once? Find out with the group the Huffington Post says “never fails to bring down the house.”
