Walsh Natural Health presents "NON DRUG SOLUTIONS For Treating ADD/ADHD

WALSH NATURAL HEALTH HOSTS  TALK WITH DR. ARCHANA LAL-TABAK on  NON DRUG SOLUTIONS FOR TREATING ADD/ADHD, WED. NOV. 13th 7pm-8:15pm

(Evanston, Il--Oct. 21, 2013--) ADD and ADHD are a prevalent and growing problem in our schools today. If you have ever felt uneasy about medicating your child for ADD/ADHD, find that medication has undesirable side effects, or just want to improve your child’s attention in a natural way, join Dr. Archana Lal-Tabak for this informative talk. Dr. Lal-Tabak has seen first-hand the bias of doctors and school districts toward medicating children versus working with kids and their parents toward a non-drug solution. You will learn about diet and supplements that support healthy attention levels, mind-body techniques to enhance learning, the impact of sleep habits and electromagnetic radiation, and more. The talk takes place at Walsh Natural Health, 2116 1/2 Central St, Evanston on Wed. Nov. 13th, 7-8:15pm.
"Walsh Natural Health is a health food store that is committed to educating the community about using natural products as a primary way of maintaining and achieving health. Walsh has a very knowledgeable staff that can answer questions about natural products and is a great community resource. Walsh holds educational health programs about once per month and recent topics have included a weight loss information night, group detox, Nutrients for Brain Power, and others. The store has served the community for over 18 years and was purchased by Lynn 8 years ago.  Lynn has a passion for natural health and has taken courses in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry and nutrition to add to her own personal knowledge. Her philosophy revolves around using natural products for both prevention and healing of specific conditions whenever possible. She believes that the strength of our current medical system lies in its diagnostic tools and life-saving surgeries, but that there should be a shift from crisis-based health to prevention and personal responsibility.  Lynn believes through her years of experience and research that he body has a natural ability to heal itself if given the proper nutrients and this should be the first place we turn to heal.  Prescription drugs should be reserved for cases where natural therapies have not succeeded.  Lynn has experienced many forms of non-traditional medicine including acupuncture, chiropractic, essential oils, energy medicine, therapeutic massage, essential oils and flower essences.  She has successfully avoided a hysterectomy and back surgery by using natural therapies, and uses these therapies not just for physical issues, but also to support mental and emotional health.
