Westminster Place Hosts Annual Holiday Craft and Bake Sale

Westminster Place, a Presbyterian Homes continuing care retirement community, hosts its annual holiday sale on Friday, November 15, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Elliott Hall, 3131 Simpson (Golf Road ) St., Evanston, IL. 

Westminster Place residents from independent living, assisted living and long-term care have created many handcrafted items for the sale to include hand dyed silk scarves, angels, snowmen, flower arrangements, distinctive beaded jewelry, Christmas ornaments, knitted items, homemade soup mixes and a bake sale. Mini two-foot Christmas trees, handcrafted handbags, vests, and pet toys will also be on hand. 

Don't miss the raffle for a beautiful handcrafted dollhouse with rooms of tiny furniture and two full-size, double fleece blankets!

For more shopping, visit our on-campus shops run by the Presbyterian Homes’ Woman’s Board.  The Depot and Furniture Warehouse feature collectibles, housewares and furniture, mirrors and artwork. The Thrift Shop sells men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, and the Book Nook is filled with used books in many categories.  




Enjoy lunch for only $7.00 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Geneva Place Dining Room. Tours of the campus will also be available.  

Proceeds from the sale benefit intergenerational programming at Westminster Place and worthwhile community causes chosen by the residents.  For more information please call 847-492-4872. No outside vendors will be participating.
