Evanstonian Sells Greens At Farmers Market
Gareth Proctor, a former Chicago Public Schools teacher, has created his own organic farm on a small lot in west Evanston. He sells his produce each week at the downtown Farmers Market, in the Northeast corner. You can usually buy some of the 5 kales he grows, along with 4 tomatoes, herbs and salad greens.
Pictured is a small-home size compost bin that he has been selling as fast as he makes for $300. He also provides consulting services on hoop houses, rain collection systems, greenhouses, and passive solar. In the long run he's going to make you healthier and save you some cash. Check out his booth at the Farmers Market every Saturday. You want local--this is the real local!
His company is called Endless Greens (847-890-2885).
