Green Living Festival Today!

The Evanston Green Living Festival will be held today from 9 am to 3 pm at the Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd. A large outdoor market will be set up for many vendors and displays about alternative energy, care of trees, bike maintenance, and other green areas. The theme of this year's festival is "Preserving the Urban Forest." Special features:

             >NU Tiny House--a 128 sq foot self-sustaining home built by NU students
             >Food served by Evanston's Hummingbird Kitchen
             >Green silent auction
             >Talk by Paul D'Agostino on Evanston's trees
             >Free shuttle from the Davis St Metra Station
             >4000 sq ft Green Market

Keep in mind Bridge St is out--under construction--parking may be difficult--biking there is strongly recommended--
