International Women’s Day Evanston 2012

 

Reflecting Globally, Connecting Locally: Working Together to Create a Community where Women and Girls Thrive

 

WHAT: Announcing a Breakfast in Celebration of International Women’s Day

 

The YWCA Evanston/North Shore, Northwestern University Women’s Center and the Woman’s Club of Evanston are pleased to announce the first annual International Women’s Day Evanston. A breakfast celebration will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the John Evans Alumni Center on the Northwestern University Campus, 1800 Sheridan Road, Evanston. Following our theme of Reflecting Globally and Connecting Locally, participants will be able to:

 

●      Learn more about International Women’s Day and issues facing women and girls around the world.

●      Hear an update from the YWCA Evanston/North Shore about its community conversations exploring the status of Evanston women and girls.

●      Participate in a roundtable discussion about how we as a community can connect to create positive change for women and girls.
