Community Day on Central Street, Evanston Sat. April 21st

Spring Community Day on Central Street, Evanston Sat. April 21st 10am-5pm--Shop and Give Back to Local Community Organizations
(Evanston, Il--April 9, 2012--)  Central Street Spring Community Day is fast approaching! The Central Street Business Association & The Central Street Neighbors Association are proud to sponsor their Spring Community Day on Central Street this April 21st. This shopping and fundraising event takes place during store hours on Sat. April 21st (mostly 10am-5pm)  After great success with Fall Community Day on Central Street The Central Street Business Association decided to do this event  twice a year to maximize the benefit to the community.     On Saturday, April 21st,  bring your Community Day Flyer into a participating business on Central Street and they will donate a portion of your purchase to the participating organization of your choice.  Donations range from 10-20% on your purchases.  What could be simpler? You make your regular purchases on Central Street (and maybe a little something extra for you or someone special) and you donate to well-deserving organizations in the community. Keep an eye out for a special invitation from your favorite community organization.  Or, to get your Community Day Flyer with the list of participating organizations and businesses on Central Street, please go to: www.centralstreet-evanston.com  Nothing feels better than crossing something off your to-do list and helping your community at the same time! Central Street Evanston is a vibrant shopping district located in North Evanston on Central Street. Shops line Central Street from just east to west of Green Bay Road. The Central Street Business Association participates in Shop Small Stores, a campaign to support local business and engage with the community. Community Day on Central Street is a great way to give back and support local business at the same time. The Benefiting Organizations for Community Day Spring 2012: C.A.R.E for the Evanston ShelterEvanston Public Library FriendsFoundation 65Evanston Environmental AssociationMitchell Museum of the American IndianCenter for Independent Futures – EvanstonHaven Middle School PTAEvanston Connections for the HomelessBusiness Alliance for a Sustainable Evanston (B.A.S.E )Dreams Delivered – Women’s Club of EvanstonInterfaith Action of Evanston For more info on the Event/Central Street Business Associaton please contact: Todd Ruppenthal – PresidentCentral Street Business AssociationTodd@HappyHuskyBakery.com  847-425-1100
