Live from the Heartland

This week's Live at the Heartland show welcomes NELI VAZQUEZ ROWLAND and ANGALIA BIANCA from A Safe Haven, a not-for-profit social business enterprise that rebuilds lives and communities with a holistic, sustainable and evidence-based approach. They provide supportive housing, addiction treatment, education, job training/placement, and affordable housing to transform lives from homelessness to self-sufficiency. www.asafehaven.org.

NELI VAZQUEZ ROWLAND serves as the Co-Founder & President of A Safe Haven Foundation, and ANGALIA BIANCA is an anti-gun activist with Ceasefire. We'll learn about A Safe Haven and its work, as well as the 2nd annual 5K RUN! To End Homlessness and LIVE AID Concert to End Homelessness taking place Sunday, July 15 in Douglas Park.  RACHEL McCLUSKY, Evanston native set to perform in the Live Aid concert, will sing some tunes including her latest, "Secret Crush". The LIVE AID concert is produced by Evanston and Skokie native, Lynn Orman Weiss.

Join us live at the Heartland Cafe, 7000 N Glenwood, Chicago, IL 60626. Or Listen On Air & Online at WLUW 88.7 fm and www.wluw.org.
