NICOR’S 15th ANNUAL VOLUNTEER DAY
More than 1,000 Nicor Gas employees, family members, and friends are expected to take part in the company’s 15th Annual Volunteer Day on Saturday, May 21. Volunteers of all ages will be contributing to 23 philanthropic projects in 20 communities throughout northern Illinois, participating in activities ranging from outdoor landscape beautification to sorting donations at local food pantries.
In Evanston, volunteers will install energy efficiency kits, paint, and weatherize the facilities at Hilda’s Place, a center for the homeless, at 1458 Chicago Avenue.

Community members are invited and encouraged to participate as Nicor proudly celebrates its 15-year tradition of helping to build stronger communities through volunteerism. Nicor community organizers are available at 630-388-2850 to pair interested volunteers with the nearest project sites in need of help.
Nicor and its employees are proud to share time, talent, and financial resources to benefit more than 1,200 charitable organizations in Illinois throughout the year.
