Hoosier Mama Pie Targets November Opening in Evanston
The pie shop will immediately start taking orders for Thanksgiving.
Hoosier Mama Pie Company is targeting an early November opening in Evanston, according to a post on the Chicago-based pie company's Facebook page.
"We are now targeting sometime during the first week of November," the post said. "As soon as we can be more specific we will let you know."
Hoosier Mama Pie Company is opening in a shared space with Dollop Coffee at 749 Chicago Ave., in the new AMLI apartment building. The cafe and bakery will offer a full espresso bar and Metropolis Coffee, as well as Hoosier Mama pies made from scratch in the store, for sale whole and by the slice. There will also be savory pies and sandwiches.
Good news for Hoosier Mama fans hoping to get a pie for Thanksgiving: the bakery will start taking orders immediately as soon as it opens.
"The Chicago shop has closed pre-orders for Thanksgiving," the restaurant posted on Facebook. "(yeah.... this is going to be ... exciting.):
