Brand said that producers scouted several different locations for the staging of the political debate before choosing the Music Institute of Chicago's Nichols Concert Hall. Filming was scheduled for just one day and wrapped up late Monday.

Formerly Christ Church of Scientology, the Music Institute has operated the building at 1490 Chicago Avenue since 2003, according to director of community engagement Deirdre Harrison.
