Post-Holiday Return Policies for Evanston Chain Stores

Sometimes Santa gets it wrong. However, many retailers in Evanston are more than happy to help you get the gift you really wanted this holiday season. Here are some policies for local stores:

You have 45 days to return computer hardware, cameras/camcorders, giftcards, prepaid cell phones, and prepaid cards, according to Stylelist. Only exchanges are granted for music, movies, video games and software, and all returns must have a receipt or gift receipt.

Gift purchases made between Nov. 13 and Dec. 24, 2011 qualify for a holiday return and exchange policy that extends the return date through Jan. 24, 2012. Hurry up if you want to return Geek Squad Black Tie Protection/Buy Back plans, as plans returned after 30 days from date of purchase will be refunded at a pro-rated amount. Anything purchased between November 14 and December 31 are eligible to be returned through Jan. 31, 2012. NOOKs can be returned to a B&N store, but downloaded NOOKbooks cannot be refunded. Books, DVDs, CDs, toys and games that are in their original, unopened condition can be mailed to:
