Tree Falls On Harrison Street Home

A large tree fell on a home in the 2000 block of Harrison Street during the thunderstorm Thursday afternoon, according to city officials.

No one was hurt, and damage to the house was not as bad as it could have been, considering the size of the tree, city officials said.

Building and inspection services division manager Jeffrey Murphy determined the house could be safely occupied, according to city manager Wally Bobkiewicz.

Murphy said the tree was not located on city property, and the homeowner's insurance company was already on its way to remove the tree. The roof would be tarped overnight to prevent water damage.
