INTERFAITH ACTION OF EVANSTON TO HOST INFORMATION SESSION ABOUT THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT

Evanston, IL – “Navigating ObamaCare: Learn How the Affordable Care Act Will Affect You and Your Neighbors” is the subject of Interfaith Action of Evanston’s annual Fall Gathering to be held Monday, October 14 at 7 pm at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2515 Central Park Avenue, Evanston. This gathering is free and open to the public.  The Affordable Care Act allows for new provisions for healthcare in Illinois, and allows for states to create a Health Insurance Marketplace. Beginning October 1, Illinois residents can buy insurance through the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace, an online shopping site to compare and review a wide range of health insurance plans. Giovanni Gomez, Regional Coordinator of Outreach and Consumer Education, for the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace and Office of Governor Pat Quinn, will explain the Affordable Care Act, who qualifies for the financial subsidies, and how you can purchase quality insurance plans from the Marketplace.

The Fall Gathering is hosted by Interfaith Action, based in Evanston, IL, a non-profit organization that brings together more than 40 communities of faith to serve people who are hungry and homeless and to express shared values through action and interfaith dialogue.
