Meet Lucy, A Lithe & Lucky Lass

C.A.R.E. dog Lucy blends the best of bassets and terriers.

Yes, really. A basset/terrier mix--that's C.A.R.E. dog Lucy. How cute is that? Awesomely cute, we promise you.

Lucy says, "My short legs and tracking skills reveal my heritage, as does my friendly and adaptable attitude. I can be a little independent at times but will give you my full attention when we train together or play together—two hobbies I take very seriously. You’ll be surprised at how athletic I am when I play. As far as training goes (which I adore since it involves treats!), I already know Sit, Down and Give Paw. I'm still working on not pulling when being walked—but it’s hard to keep my nose from investigating all those wonderful smells. Anyhow I’m a great mix of character. I'm confident I’ll add humor and laughs to your life."

LUCY’S STATS:

  • Basset/Terrier mix, 3.5 years old, Spayed female
  • ASPCA Canine-ality™ Assessment rating: Orange /Busy Bee
  • Large size/weighs 50 lbs.
  • No cats, but Lucy is fine with dogs (she plays hard).
  • Children age 13 and up.
  • Dog Obedience Group training required.
  • Lucy needs minimal housetraining.
