Meet Shilah: Good Things In Small Packages

C.A.R.E. dog Shilah may look puppy-like in appearance and attitude, but this petite pup is actually full-grown.

"My enthusiasm for life will be apparent the second you meet me!" Shilah exclaims. "Friendly, outgoing, and energetic, that’s me! I give everything my all—loving and playful, happy to snuggle, play the clown, or go for a jog. Whatever you want to do, I’ll be by your side."

"I still have some learning to do—mainly self-control—but I’m a quick learner," Shilah continues. "Your guidance and patience will help me catch on fast. It might be hard at first when you need to leave me alone. I most like will cry and worry since I hate to be alone. We can work through this with extra training. Always remember: the best gifts come in small packages. And that’s ME!"

• Staffordshire Bull Terrier, 1 year old, spayed
• ASPCA Canine-ality™ Assessment rating: Orange/Goofball
• Medium size / weighs 35 lbs.
  
• Children 13 and up.
  
• NO cats, needs work with dogs.
• Dog Obedience Group class required.
• Housebreaking will be needed.
• Shilah is spayed, microchipped and has had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines.

Please come to C.A.R.E., 2310 Oakton St., Evanston, to meet Shilah and speak to an adoption counselor. Adoption hours are Monday through Thursday, 6-8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, noon-3:30 p.m.
