Meet Skippy, A Dog With Leaps & Bounds

CARE dog Skippy greets each day with enthusiasm. This black spaniel/terrier mix with a white bib is always rarin' to go.

Skippy says, "I'm ready to bond once I get to know and trust you. I'm a smart and willing student. I do have a sensitive side since I've had a bit of a rough go until now, which means, as happy and playful as I am, we still need to go slow to help build my confidence. Right now I  get very excited when I see another dog, but CARE volunteers are helping me to learn how to control myself and relax. I'm looking for direction and guidance from you to bring out my best and  to help me mature."

SKIPPY'S STATS:

  • Spaniel/Terrier Mix, 10 months old, Spayed female
  • ASPCA Canine-ality™ Assessment rating: Green / Go-Getter
  • Medium size / weighs 50 lbs.
  • Children 10 and uP
  • No cats. Skippy needs careful practice interacting with other dogs. Skippy's on-leash behavior can be stressful.
  • Skippy requires D.O.G. training, but group lessons may be challenging due to her lack of canine social skills.
  • Skippy will need minimal housebreaking.
  • Skippy is spayed, microchipped and has had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines.
