Seeds of Death...A Documentary All Humans Need to See.

Buddy, Can You Spare A Seed?

To follow up on my last blog about this past Saturday's Occupy Monsanto global protest, I thought it would be a good idea to provide patch readers with a link to the well done and riveting documentary Seeds of Death.

It is important to note, that all independent studies regarding Monsanto's Genetically Modified Organisms which you and your loved ones are ingesting daily, reveal the grave harm done to humans exposed to them.

I won't belabor the point, except to say, that it is sometimes hard for people to accept that something this harmful was ever allowed to take hold in our food supply. So, it's important to remember that Monsanto, the international giant who is the largest producer of GMO's, is also the company that assured us that PCB, DDT, and Agent Orange were safe.

The most dire realization one is forced to confront upon coming to terms wih Monsanto's track record, not only in producing and promoting their poisons as safe and beneficial, is the fact of its well established political reach.

Reach may not even be the right word.  When one carfully considers the revolving door between the largest and most corrupt financial instituions, like Goldman Sachs and the top levels of US and European Governments, how can there be any other conclusion but that global corruption dictates our reality, sometimes subtly and sometimes brutally.  How can we even think for a moment that we, here in American or Europe, are truly a free people?  We're not even allowed to know what's in our food.

The same revolving door that works for the too-big-to-fail-or-prosecute financial players also works for Monsanto.  Note that Obama appointed Michael Taylor, Monsanto VP and star lobbyist, as the senior advisor to the FDA, Food and Drug Administration.  This provoked a faint squeak of "I'm shocked" from the "liberals"...whatever that means anymore...then, onto Stand By Your Man brain-dead partisan thinking as usual.

What do we need to survive?  We need food and shelter.  To acquire these, we need money, at least within our current cultural paradigm.  Money represents our energy, our labor.  To get that energy, we need to eat food, unless we're adepts capable of living on air and sunlight...not too many of those around right now.

To find ourselves, en masse, in a situation where the purchasing power of the fiat currency we are forced to use (the dollar, or euro, yen) is being degraded by the central banks' uncontrolled money creation policies is alarming enough.  Note, too, that the beneficiaries of this run away money creation are the banksters themselves, not you, not the real economy.

Now add to it that the largest seed company in the world is firmly planted within the halls of power here in the US.  Seeds humans relied on for centuries, given to us for free by the earth herself, are now genetically altered by injecting viruses, bacteria, and DNA from humans and animals!

Seeds once capable of growing foods that gave us more seeds are now being turned into seeds that grow sterile crops.  No more seeds from seeds.  No free lunch.  And, these seeds are PATENTED by Monsanto, who will sue the unlucky farmers on whose land their patented seeds have been blown by the wind.

Thus independent farmers go out of business.  And anyone daring to grow food in a co-op style, offering raw-milk, organic crops, and work share agreements gets fined $10,000 and goes to jail. Yep, happening just north of you in Wisconsin, as we speak.  Gotta hand it to Monsanto...they know how to squash their competition.  They're greedy little hands are right there in the state and local governments...as Robyn Gabel knows very well.

The outrageous claims that Monsanto's freaky crops are good for us and good for the planet is brought to you in well produced, romantically hypnotic advertisements which do a great job of passifying the public into yet another media induced trance.

I don't like to be the bringer of bad news.  But, there you go.  Life's challenging. Maybe we Americans need this challenge.  At any rate, it's here.

I hope you rise to it.  I really do.  Please watch the documentary.  Watch it with your family and friends.

We need to unite, as humans.  Intelligent people can differ about the role of government.  But only an idiot, a brain-washed zombie, or someone with a very vested interest in genetically modified organisms...and this, unfortunately includes most of the political class...(are you listening Robyn Gabel?) could turn their back on the evidence against Monsanto.

Yes, Virginia, there is much good in the world.  But there is much evil too.  There are good people out there helping us the discern one from the other.  The producers of Seeds of Death are doing us a service.  Take them up on it.
