And so, you do. Never a dull moment, unless you're chained, like many people, to only having time to pay attention to putting food on the table, and keeping a roof over your head.
But here's something that even the most distracted among us may soon notice. Sheriffs all over the country are telling the federal government they will not comply with new gun laws. The right to defend onesself, they say, is guaranteed by the Constitution, a document they still feel honor bound to uphold. I guess it just doesn't sit well with them that that right is now to be increasingly bestowed upon insiders only. The club you're not in, as George Carlin would say.

The body guards of politicians, bankers, and elitists of all stripes will still have their high powered fire arms. Gangsters will still get what they want on the black market. Our illustrious leader will still order drone killings of American citizens as well as foreigners, without so much as a question from our well-groomed mainstream media heroes. You see folks, these Sheriffs just don't get it.
They think everyday people should be able to protect themselves, not just from criminals or madmen, but from the government itself. They don't get that people don't need to worry about protecting themselves, because that's what the government is for. They don't get that they can trust people who serve in the government.

Could they explain to me please...how would an untrustworthly person ever be able to weasel his way into such a morally upright and service-to-humanity crowd as our government...especially Democrats...who are, as most of you already know...just damn good-hearted folks who want to take care of you. Why? Because they love you! Just like they love the kids they send into the Middle East to kill other kids. They especially love the ones who lose their limbs and their minds. And the ones that kill themselves when it all gets to be a bit overwhelming...they hold a really special place in the hearts of those Dems. Yeah. They are really something.
So the gall of these sheriffs to say they will not comply? What? Well, this is why you will live in interesting times, if you don't already. I'm sure these sheriffs have heard of Obama's favorite high-powered offensive weapon, the drone, not to mention his favorite political tactic, the executive order which allows him to do whatever he wants, with no congress, no vote, no muss or fuss. Yep, remotely operated, a drone can track an individual and finish him off in no time. They say we'll have 20,000 over America within a few years now. Should be pretty interesting.
I guess those Sheriffs will be outgunned. If only they understood how much the government loved them, they could avoid all this fuss.
