Join Santa and City Officials for the Downtown Holiday Tree Lighting

The lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 22.

Santa is coming to town Tuesday, but for this trip he's switching out his big red sleigh for a big red fire truck.

Evanston's annual holiday tree lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Fountain Square. Santa, the Mayor, and other officials will arrive by fire truck, and there will be a festive warm-up reception immediately after the tree is lit hosted by Rotary International in their Café International at One Rotary Center, at 1560 Sherman Ave., across from Fountain Square.

Dress to stay warm and bring extra socks, hats, and gloves to donate at the Rotary building. All donations will go to Hilda's Place, Evanston's emergency housing and support services for the homeless.
