Mama Power T-shirt (1 of our 5 designs)!

On December 18, 2013, the Mama Power Gear Kickstarter Campaign was successfully funded by sixty-six incredibly generous individuals.  In fact, we did more than successfully fund the campaign – we exceeded our funding goals by over 20%!  Because of this unbelievable outreach, we’ve used the seed money to not only deliver the shirts to fabulous mamas across the Evanston are (and throughout the nation) on schedule in early February, but also debut a beautiful website:  www.mamapowergear.com.  Visit it when you get a chance, and let me know what you think!  From now until March 29th, I’ll be running a 10% off all purchases sale – use the coupon code “FabFamFun14” at checkout to take advantage of it.

It’s been a long, long journey, starting way back in October 2012, when my daughter was born, to now.  Always, celebrating motherhood has been the center of my mission through this funding campaign and now, website.  Mothers can be so many things to so many different people – partners, friends, workers, confidants – but are only one thing to the children they raise:  the world.  So please take a moment to celebrate the mothers in your life, and let them know how important they are.

A Celebration!

And please take a moment with me to celebrate the launch of our new website on March 29th at 2956 Central Street Evanston, IL 60201!  We’ll be partnering with the Ohana Alumni Club to host the event.  The party will be from 5:30-7:30 PM, and the theme will be Be Fabulous!  Family  Fun.  We’ll be celebrating mothers and families alike, so be sure to show up looking fabulous in your Mama Power Gear!  As a special treat, we'll have:

  • An on-site massage therapist
  • A micro-makeover station
  • A photographer to capture all the fun
  • Light refreshments
  • Details of the monthly co-hosted events with Ohana and Mama Power Gear, and
  • The opportunity to vote on upcoming workshops for the Ohana Parents Club.

We’re so excited to hold this event and hope to see a great turnout.  Thank you for reading, and Mama Power!
