A Sold-out Crowd Celebrates The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem at Highland Park Hospital’s Inaugural Fundraising Fete: Be Part of the CURE

A sold-out crowd of more than 200 gathered at DC Sarnies on July 26 for The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) at Highland Park Hospital’s new fundraising fete, Be Part of the CURE. Co-chaired by Sarah Adess, Jana Brok and Diane Golin, Be Part of the CURE took the place of The Auxiliary’s annual Key to the Cure fundraiser, previously held each Fall at Saks Fifth Avenue in Highland Park. Be Part of the CURE featured many of the most beloved aspects of The Auxiliary’s former event with some new elements for the loyal group of attendees who support the event annually. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread courtesy of ARAMARK, as well as some of DC Sarnies’ excellent craft brews, while dancing to the sounds of Mobile Music. The event featured a sensational silent auction boasting Blackhawks memorabilia, gift certificates, luxurious travel experiences and much more.

Thanks to the generosity of the event’s gracious sponsors including Autohaus on Edens, DC Sarnies, DLA Piper (US), Debra Greenhill, First Bank of Highland Park, Fraida Foundation, Freedom Home Care, Herbert C Wenske Foundation, Lake Shore Travel, Mortgage Broker – Jorden Brok, Soul 2 Sole Dance Inc., and Sheridan Road, and the guests in attendance, Be Part of the CURE raised more than $55,000 Kellogg Cancer Center at NorthShore Highland Park Hospital. Funds raised at Be Part of the CURE will support clinical research efforts, educational opportunities for the collaborative nursing staff and equipment to help improve the patient experience at Kellogg Cancer Center. The evening’s sponsors, including DC Sarnies, which donated the venue as well as all the libations, allowed The Auxiliary to donate all money raised at the event to this worthy cause.
