22-Year Evanston City Staffer Dies
Facilities management employee Zachary Bradley died on Sunday, Aug. 18, according to the city.
If you left a city council meeting late on a Monday night in Evanston, you probably got a smile from Zachary Bradley on your way out.
Bradley, a facilities maintenance worker at the Civic Center for 22 years, passed away Aug. 18, according to city manager Wally Bobkiewicz.
“He was always a friendly face in the building and never hesitated to assist an employee or resident,” human resources specialist Elizabeth Walker wrote in an e-mail to city staff. “He will be greatly missed.”

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. at Christ Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1711 Simpson St.
