Obituary: Northwestern Grad George Bailie, 90
Bailie was a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Chicago and worked for the Union Carbide Corporation for 29 years.
BIOGRAPHY
George E. Bailie, age 90, son of the late George E. and Helen A. Bailie. Beloved husband of Virginia nee Ambuehl; loving father of David (Laurel) Bailie, Barbara (Roger) Mattingly and the late George R. Bailie; dear grandfather of Anne, Carrie, Jane, Brooke and George J; great grandfather of Ava, Zoe and Elsa; brother of Richard C. (Judith) Bailie; uncle of Shelly, Randy, Tony and the late Sandi. George was a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. George retired after 29 years of service at Union Carbide Corporation of which 14 years were spent as President of the Films Packaging Division.
