Call for Write-In Candidates
This is the year in which voters will say they have had enough of the shenanigans in the US House of Representatives. Enough of nothing meaningful getting done while they play the “Blame the Other Party” game. Enough of Representatives placing their own image, egos and re-election ahead of any genuine concern about the citizens they swore to represent. The low confidence levels in government at all levels foreshadows a tsunami of unconventional voting patterns this coming election day, November 4, 2014.
This is the year of the write-in candidate for the House of Representatives. I have created the website http://www.nafwic.com to help those brave men and women who decide to walk the difficult path of the write-in candidate. The core of this site is a directory listing ALL KNOWN WRITE-IN CANDIDATES campaigning for election to a seat in the House. We will be publicizing this list throughout the United States. Plus, candidates will find links, tips, guidance and a Facebook community allowing them to network with other Candidates.
If you are a candidate, please enroll. If you know a candidate, please tell them about this site. (Mickey Mouse and Alfred E. Neumann need not apply).

In some states - including Illinois - votes cast for write-in candidates will not be counted unless the candidate has filed a declaration of their intent to run. Here are the rules for Cook County , And, here is the form that needs to be filed: http://elections.il.gov/Downloads/ElectionInformation/PDF/p-1f.pdf. Time is of the essence. Thursday, September 4 is the last day to file a notarized declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate.
It is an uphill battle, of course and the chances of victory are small. But, winning is possible and running as a write-in provides a powerful platform from which to speak truth.
