From Sherry in Houston, very happy to hear she is safe back home with her family who was so worried for her! Here in Houston animal rescue friends are constantly posting lost and found animals - many are reunited with their families. Timing is everything. It IS urgent and important for people with non-human family members who are lost to have them safely reunited with their family.

Hello! My "Victorino" is in LOVE with your bird!!! Once he saw her picture,he started cooing and making adorable sounds. LOL He is a Lilac-crowned Amazon. Is yours home-grown? Is she tame? Victorino wants to know.

Ev. Roundtable reported in this week's issue (dated 1/16/14) that she had died of effects of exposure. I believe it was the day after she was found and returned. IgnorantA, for once I agree with you. "Alvarez's" comment is silly at best, and tasteless (even before we knew the bird in question had died) at worst. Oh well: the hazards of living in the internet age...
