Property Maintenance

It is disheartening, especially during a brutal winter such as this, that property owners feel it is unnecessary to maintain safe and passable sidewalks for mail carriers, commuters, walkers and joggers.  On my commute along Lincoln many of the large homes that during the past summer sported signs that said "Parks are for people, not for profit" are the worst offenders.  Evidently, "parks are for people" but sidewalks are not, given the lack of attention they show for the safety of those using their sidewalks.  Maintaining your sidewalk, keeping it shoveled and salted for safety is as critical to property maintenance as repairing broken windows.  Please be a good neighbor and maintain the public spaces in front of your home.
