The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem's 42nd Annual Gala Raises More Than $340,000 in Support of Simulation and Innovation

The Windy City served as the muse for The Auxiliary of NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) 42nd Annual Hospitals’ Gala, “Simply Chicago.” The Auxiliary of NorthShore welcomed more than 600 business, healthcare and civic leaders from the North Shore and greater Chicagoland area for the Hospitals’ Gala which took place on Saturday, June 14 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers.

The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception featuring a sensational silent auction with one-of-a-kind wares and experiences. Guests of the Gala were then treated to an exclusive performance by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago before enjoying a delicious dinner. After the meal, guests had an opportunity to bid on incredible items in a live auction, including a signed jersey from the Chicago Blackhawks, a vacation in Hawaii, a well-appointed wine collection featuring more than 80 bottles of vino and much more.

Thanks to the guests in attendance and the evening’s generous sponsors, including Aramark and Power Construction, the Hospitals’ Gala raised more than $340,000. All proceeds from the Gala will support the Grainger Center for Simulation and Innovation (GCSI), a state-of-the-art facility at NorthShore Evanston Hospital that offers healthcare professionals courses and hands-on training in leading-edge medical and surgical disciplines. Funds raised will support GCSI’s training initiatives which will improve communication between the patient and the healthcare team. With the Gala’s support, these vital initiatives will translate to improved outcomes and a superior patient experience at NorthShore.
