The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Evanston Police Department:

Gunfire Reported On Greenwood

Police investigated a report that someone fired a gun in the 1600 block of Greenwood Street at 10:51 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. Nothing was found in the area.

Arrests: DUI, Retail Theft

Paula R. Diamond, 58, of the 500 block of South Boulevard in Evanston, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 3:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in the 500 block of Dodge, according to police.

Melanie A. Garzon, 24, of the 7300 block of Kenneth in Lincolnwood, was arrested and charged with violating a noise ordinance at 4:55 a.m. in the 1800 block of Crain Street, according to police.  

Karen Kaye Joseph, 35, of the 100 block of Asbury Avenue, was arrested and charged with retail theft after she allegedly stole food from a grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at 4:56 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.

Martell J. Kehl, 26, of the 8900 block of North Parkside in Des Plaines, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at Emerson Avenue and Orrington Street at 2:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, according to police.

Michael S. Richmond, 45, of the 1900 block of Dodge in Evanston, was arrested and charged with retail theft at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, in the according to police.

Attempted Burglary On Dobson

Someone tried to pry open a garage window in the 1000 block of Dobson Street between 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.

Car Burglars Break Windows Around Town

Someone broke the window of a 2011 Kia parked in the 2000 block of Brummel Street between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, according to police. Nothing was reported missing.

Someone broke the window of a 2006 Dodge parked in the 1300 block of Dobson Street and stole cash between 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.

Someone broke the window of a 2006 Honda parked in the 1600 block of Dobson Street and stole cash between 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, and 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a 2003 Mazda parked in the 200 block of Dewey Avenue and stole cash between 12:30 and 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a 2005 Chevrolet parked in the 200 block of Dewey Avenue and stole cash between 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, and 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, according to police.

Someone entered an unlocked 2009 Saturn parked in the 2000 block of Brummel Street and stole cash and a cell phone between 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, and 8:05 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, police reported.

Someone stole a Samsung flip phone from a car parked in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue between 9:33 and 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, according to police.

Someone stole an iPhone charger from a 2007 Hyundai parked in the 1600 block of Kirk Street between 11:10 and 11:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a 2004 Ford parked in the 1400 block of Ashland Avenue and stole green Lee cable cutter tools and a Honda generator between 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 5:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.

Someone tried to pry open the door of a 2009 Chevrolet parked in the 2300 block of Grant between 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, police reported.

Someone broke the window of a 2008 Ford parked in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue between 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, and 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, according to police. A Canon megapixel digital camera, flashlight and garage door opener were all reported missing.

Someone broke the window of a 2003 Mitsubishi parked in a driveway in the 1200 block of Dobson Street between 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13. Nothing was reported missing.

Someone broke the window of a Lexus parked in the 1200 block of Dobson Street between 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 8:15 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police. Nothing was reported missing.

Catalytic Converters Stolen On McDaniel, Pitner, Fowler

Someone stole catalytic converters from a 2003 and 2000 Oldsmobile parked in the 1000 block of McDaniel Avenue between 3:20 and 3:25 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, police reported.

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 1999 Chevrolet parked in the 1300 block of Pitner Avenue between 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 6:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police. 

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 1998 Chevrolet parked in the 1400 block of Fowler Avenue between 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 4:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.

Someone stole a catalytic converter from a 2004 Chevrolet parked in the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue between 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, and 8:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, police reported.

Brick Thrown From Apartment Window

Someone threw a brick out of the window of an apartment in the 300 block of Howard Street, hitting a car below at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, according to police.

Bike Stolen On Hinman

Someone stole a Giant bicycle that was locked up in an apartment parking lot in the 1700 block of Hinman Avenue between 3:14 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, and 3:14 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, according to police.

Thief Steals Medicine From Coat Pocket

Someone stole Bupropion and Sulfamethoxaz tablets from a coat pocket at a restaurant in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, police reported.

Wallet Stolen From Purse

Someone stole a wallet from a purse at a grocery store in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue between 10:15 and 10:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, police reported.

Water Hose, Sprinkler and Lawnmower Stolen on Dobson

Someone stole a plastic water hose, sprinkler and lawnmower from a yard in the 800 block of Dobson at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, according to police.

Key Taken From Keybox

Someone stole a key from a keybox outside a home in the 2100 block of Wesley between midnight and 8:55 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, police reported.

Cell Phone Stolen On Maple

A resident of the 2000 block of Maple Avenue told police she believes that delivery drivers stole her Motorola Android phone from her home between 11:15 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, according to police.

Someone broke the window of an apartment or condo in the 1600 block of Monroe Street between 3 and 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, police reported.

Someone cut the top of a 2007 Volkswagen convertible parked in an alley in the 1000 block of Asbury Avenue between 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, and 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, according to police.

A man broke the windows of a 1999 GMC in an alley in the 2200 block of Noyes Street at 10:27 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, police reported.
