Evanston police responded to a report of attempted robbery at 6:30 p.m. on Ridge Avenue, three blocks north of Howard Street. When the victim called for help, police said, the teen fled the scene on foot. After a description of the robber was broadcast to police units in the area, the teen was arrested a short while later in the 400 block of Asbury Avenue. The woman later positively identified the subject as the offender, authorities said.
