Updated, 8:55 p.m.

Three Evanston homes were burglarized between Saturday afternoon and late Sunday night, according to police.

Someone pried off the padlock to the garage door of a home in the 1000 block of Harvard Terrace around 4 p.m. on Saturday and stole a Trek bicycle, police reported. A half hour later, someone entered an unlocked garage in the 1100 block of Mulford Street and stole a Schwinn child’s seat rack.

Late Sunday night, someone broke the door of a home in the 2100 block of Emerson Street and stole a 47-inch Westinghouse television, a Playstation 3 and video games, police reported.

Police Cmdr. Jason Parrott said the garage burglaries could be related due to the time frame, their close proximity and the property that was taken. He said the third burglary was unlikely to be connected, however.
