30 Evanston Residents Applied For Concealed Carry Licenses So Far
Evanston police will review applications all applications made by residents of the city.
Approximately 30 Evanston residents had applied for concealed carry licenses as of mid-January, according to the Daily Northwestern.
After Illinois became the last state to legalize concealed carry this year, thousands of legal gun owners began applying to the Illinois State Police for licenses, according to the state police.
Once the state police OK a concealed carry license, local law enforcement officials have 30 days to review the application and file any objections, the Northwestern reports.
