Another Ditka Arrested for Drunk Driving in Deerfield
Ditka brothers Mark and Michael both face DUI charges.

Another Ditka is headed to court to face drunk driving charges after getting arrested in Deerfield on Saturday, according to TribLocal.
The website states that Mark Ditka, 48, of Deerfield, was stopped in his Mercedes Benz on Route 43 at Kates Road around 3:27 a.m. on Sept. 24.

TribLocal wrote that Mark had “red, blood shot eyes, slurred speech, odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath,” according to a police report.
He was also cited for speeding and failure to show proof of registration.

His brother, , is currently facing DUI charges as well. He was arrested for dunk driving back in April. His trial has been scheduled for Nov. 28. However, earlier this month the Deerfield resident’s defense team indicated they were hoping to get at a hearing in October.
Both Ditka brothers are the sons of former Bears coach Mike Ditka.
This is Michael's third DUI case and according to TribLocal Mark’s third arrest for DUI too. However, one of Mark’s charges was downgraded to reckless driving and he was found not guilty for the other.
Mark is due back in court on Oct. 9 while his brother will face a judge again on Oct. 27.
